View Ridge Neighborhood
Founded by a pair of venture capitalists in the Depression era and incorporated into Seattle as recently as 1942, View Ridge remains a quiet residential neighborhood with incredible views of the Cascades.
Many of the same commercial and recreational areas are shared between View Ridge and neighboring Wedgwood (to the west)—so much so that it is sometimes difficult even for locals to define where one neighborhood ends and the other begins. It is generally agreed, however, that View Ridge is bordered by Lake Washington and Sand Point to the east, NE 65th Street to the south, and Sand Point Country Club to the north.
View Ridge is currently known to feature some of North Seattle’s most closely-knit religious communities. For instance, the neighborhood is home to a thriving Hasidic community, which is noteworthy among neighborhoods in North Seattle.
